Igor Reizlin took third place
Ukrainian fencer Vladimir Stankevich for the first time in his career he won a personal victory at the World Cup stage. He won the gold medal in Tbilisi.
On the way to triumph, Stankevich defeated the Japanese Masaru Yamada (8:7), Koki Kano (15:9) and Inochi Ito (15:10), and in the final bout he defeated the Hungarian Tamas Koch (15:9).
Another Ukrainian Igor Reizlin, who won the bronze of the Tokyo Olympics, became the third at the stage in Tbilisi. He was close to the final, but lost to the Hungarian Koch (9:15).
Previously, Vladimir Stankevich only once climbed the podium at the stages of the World Cup, when in 2017 he won a bronze medal in Berlin.
