Olympic medalist in PyeongChang Eugenie Medvedeva answered the question of why she continues to skate.
On Saturday, Medvedeva took part in the opening ceremony of the WCT Nornickel Curling Cup.
– Thank you very much for the welcome. The audience is very warm,” Medvedeva told reporters. Looks like they’ve been waiting for us for a long time. There are even very small boys and girls. I hope today’s event serves as their sporting inspiration and that we hear their names in the coolest arenas.
Did you see Dudinka out of the corner of your eye?
– We drove back and forth, tried to watch the ice drift, this wonderful natural phenomenon. The Yenisei River is simply magnificent. I have only been to Baikal, and now I have come to the northernmost point of my career.
Is this the new number you skated today?
— Not really, I have already skated several times. Starting from scratch, it took several days to set up and then to break in. If I’m not mistaken, I’m showing it for the fourth time.
– No desire to lead the figure skating section in Dudinka?
“I don’t want to sound rude, but when they offer it to me, I’ll think about it. So far, no such proposal has been received.
What are you riding for?
– By love! Love rules the world! And not just figure skating.
