Doctors think of deactivating the Olympic champion hospitalized in ice dancing Roman Kostomarova from the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) device, there are improvements in the skater’s condition, a source familiar with the situation told .

Olympic champion Tatyana Navka Last week, reported that Kostomarov was in intensive care. He was placed in an induced coma and hooked up to an ECMO machine.

– There are some improvements in status and parsing. Doctors are considering signing off on ECMO, which is good enough, a source told .

Kostomarov is 45 years old. Together with Navka, he won the gold medal at the 2006 Games, became a double world champion and a triple European champion in ice dancing.
