Italian cyclist Alessandro Covi of UAE Team Emirates won the 20th stage of the Giro d’Italia.
He covered the 168 km distance between the towns of Belluno and Marmolada in 4 hours 46 minutes 34 seconds, ahead of the Slovenian Domen Novak of Bahrain Victorious (+0.32) and another Italian Giulio Ciccone of Trek-Segafredo (+0 ,37).
Russian Pavel Sivakov, playing under the French flag with the Ineos Grenadiers team, became 31st in the stage, losing 9 minutes 7 seconds to the winner.
Australian Jay Hindley of the Bora-Hansgrohe team led the race overall, 1 minute 25 seconds ahead of Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz.
The last stage of the Giro will take place on Sunday, the riders will cover 17.4 km from the separate start in Verona.
