Figure Skating Grand Prix stage winner Konstantinova has announced her retirement

Figure Skating Grand Prix Silver Medalist Stanislav Konstantinov announced his retirement at the age of 22.

“I’ve been postponing it as best I could, for a year and a half. She’s been gone twice and come back. All because I’m madly in love with figure skating.

Unreal emotions from public speaking, victories, surpassing myself – I will miss all of this very much. I am proud of every medal, every major tournament, five seasons in the country’s national team, European and world championships. I also don’t appreciate the most successful debuts and seasons for the fact that I learned not to give up and fight until the end. I think in sport I did everything I could and I’m happy to move on.

This decision was obvious, but it was important for me to come to this and say it myself, without the others inviting me.

Also, I want to thank everyone who has been there, supported, watched me for all these 15 years. To all my dear coaches who invested a lot of energy and nerves in me, to our specialists and managers and, of course, to the fans. It was an honor for me to ride for you, and also to defend the colors of our team’s flag!

We will certainly see each other again, I remain in figure skating. The career of an athlete is often not very compatible with participation in interesting projects and shows. I hope that now I can realize my potential in this field. And I also burn with all kinds of ideas in directing programs, I think that’s really what my soul is and what I’m good at. I feel and know that I have something to convey to athletes both as a coach and as a choreographer, ”Konstantinova wrote on the social network.

Konstantinova is the silver medalist of the 2018/19 Grand Prix stage in Finland, she also won bronze at the Krasnoyarsk Universiade. At the 2019 European Championships, the figure skater took fourth place.
