Chaikovskaya approved as head coach of the Russian national figure skating team

Russia’s honored coach Elena Chaikovskaya has been approved as the head coach of the Russian national figure skating team, the appointment document, which is available to , was signed by the Deputy Sports Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Morozov.

In December, the executive committee of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) appointed Chaikovskaya as head coach of the Russian national team. Previously, this position was held by Alexander Gorshkov, who had led the federation since 2010. Gorshkov died in mid-November.

The inclusion of Chaikovskaya in the list of candidates for the Russian national figure skating teams for 2022-2023 was signed by the general director of the FFKKR Alexander Kogan, approved by the director of the Sports training center of the Russian national teams Georgy Bryusov and the Director of the Department of Sports of the Highest Achievements of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation Alexei Drozdov. The document was approved by Morozov on January 18.

Tchaikovsky is 83 years old. She is an honored coach of the USSR and Russia, master of sports of the USSR, chairwoman of the coaching council of the FFKKR.
