World Indoor High Jump Champion Danil Lyssenko in a conversation with he told about the victory at the Memorial Yuri Lukashevich and Vyacheslav Seredkin.

High jump competitions as part of the tournament were held in Chelyabinsk on Saturday. Lyssenko jumped 2.32 meters, took second place Ilya Ivanyuk (2.23), the third – Nikita Anishchenkov (2.19).

— Satisfied with the result and the technical aspects. It was as if everything was working fine. He jumped quite easily. It’s true, I don’t know what I was missing to take 2.36. I knew I could jump that height – maybe I got too excited, I should have been calmer,” Lysenko told .

– Did strong opponents like Ilya Ivanyuk motivate you?

– Opponents, of course, always give motivation. Ilya today, as he himself says, did not go a little. At first he took 2.15, 2.19 … Then he got ready and jumped 2.23. It’s good, it’s the first start. It jumps normally, and we will show better results. Nikita Anischenkov, by the way, also jumped very well today.

— How would you rate the level of organization in Chelyabinsk?

– I always like everything. I’ve always been to this beginning before. I am very happy to be invited and to be able to play here. All at the highest level.
