Dmitry Gafin: Dynamo expands its audience at the expense of Medvedeva

– Does Dynamo have a budget to strengthen this winter? If so, is there any interest in significant acquisitions?

– There is a budget. But for the moment, we do not see the opportunity for any acquisition. All positions are duplicated. As you can see, there are a lot of second-team players in Dynamo’s training camp, and our priority is the use and development of internal reserves. Moreover, we have players recovering from injuries – Vyacheslav Grulev and Matthias Normann.

– Then about the youngsters: can one of these youngsters start playing in the RPL in the spring?

“Now it’s not good to talk about it. We haven’t even finished the first training camp yet. You can say with confidence that all the players are trying to give their maximum and want to show themselves against the Head coach Jokanovic will review the results and, probably, towards the end of the third training camp, he will decide who will stay in the main team and who will not.

What are you going to do with Norman? After an injury, does he have to show something supernatural to redeem Rostov’s rights?

– Here the answer is very simple: he needs to get in shape, start playing and show the Norman we all know and love. Then we will draw conclusions.

– Our colleagues from England were again enthusiastic about Zakharyan. Is there a chance he’ll leave in the winter, or is the Chelsea issue over for today?

– Only your colleagues from England are excited, and not only from England. But the Chelsea management are not enthusiastic about this: at least such information has not been given to us at an official level. There was no contact with Chelsea during the winter.

– Can we say with certainty that Zakharyan will stay at Dynamo at least until the summer?

– No, you can’t say that. The transfer window is open, anything can happen in football.

– Are there grounds for rumors about Irakli Kvekveskiri? Or is it agent games?

– There were no negotiations. Neither with “Torch”, nor with a footballer. Most likely, as you correctly noted, this is the work of agents who want to earn additional dividends from this player.

– What are your plans for Sergei Parshivlyuk? Is this his last season as a player?

Sergey is a professional at heart. He plays a very important role in the team. From 2019, each season we address the issue of contract renewal towards the end of its validity and each time we find a solution. I think this year will be no exception. Towards the end of the season, Sergei and I will solve these problems.

— Balbuena. What to do with a player who does not want to come back? Or is he still considering such a possibility this summer?

– Balbuena is a Dynamo player, although he took advantage of FIFA’s position, leaving unilaterally for Corinthians. As of today, we expect Fabian to return to the club on July 1, 2023. Unless, of course, until then no other club buys the rights to him or FIFA make new similar decisions.

– He doesn’t contact the club?

– Why? We speak. He wished us a happy new year and a merry Christmas, we have normal contact. But we haven’t spoken to him with that in mind, whether he plans to come this summer or not. There is a contract, and everything is written there.

– Medvedeva’s invitation is a bombshell from Dynamo. What effect does the presence of her and other ambassadors here have on the club?

— Evgenia Medvedeva is our fan and club ambassador. She has her own very large audience. This public is interested in Evgenia, and Evgenia herself is interested in our club. With stories like this, we try to expand the circle of fans, especially through our high-level cheerleaders and fans. We are happy to see Zhenya at the training camp, she is very interested, as well as our players. I really hope that Dynamo fans will also be interested.
