Russian figure skater Eugenie Medvedeva support Moscow “Dynamo” stated that figure skating fans do not indulge in offensive chants, unlike football fans.
In January, Medvedeva came to Dynamo’s training camp in Abu Dhabi to take part in the club’s media activities. Previously, the famous figure skater came to the team’s home games in Moscow more than once.
— You often go to the VTB Arena. What do you remember the most?
– I liked the match between Dynamo and Zenit, which turned out to be very emotional. The fans were very noisy – ours and Zenit’s. When there is a clash in the stands, it’s always interesting.
– Is there a difference between football fans and figure skating fans?
Yes, they are completely different. In figure skating, spectators do not allow themselves any offensive chants. If someone is a fan of a skater, then he supports her, and during the performance of others, he just remains silent. There are some isolated cases, but it is not encouraged. Let’s just say we have mutual respect between fandoms.
