“Now men’s figure skating in Russia is on the rise” – Trusova

Olympic silver medalist figure skater Alexandra Trousova in her column on , she expressed the opinion that men’s figure skating in Russia is currently going through good times.

Russian figure skaters won gold in the team competition at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing. On the men’s side, the program was performed by Mark Kondratyuk. In men’s individual skating at the 2022 Olympics, Evgeny Semenenko became the best among Russian figure skaters, who took eighth place.

– At the Command Officer Olympics, I was worried about Mark, because I imagined what responsibility he had. In my opinion, the greatest among all the participants: he couldn’t be wrong at all. I’m glad he made it. In the personal tournament, I supported all the guys!

I think now men’s figure skating is on the rise. Many guys insert 3-4 quads into the program, this competition only becomes more spectacular and interesting.

It was always more interesting for me to watch the men’s individual skating. Lots of complex elements, adrenaline, tension throughout the program. And there is always a plot: who will face the emotions, endure physically and reach the end. It fascinated me and still fascinates me! Trusova wrote.
