Now there is not a single player in the League worth more than 15 million euros
The transfers of Mudryk and Tsyhankov have changed the balance of power in the “monetary” part of Ukrainian football. After the sales of their leaders, Shakhtar and Dynamo switched places in the table of the value of the UPL squads. According to the specialized portal Transfermarkt, Dynamo is now the most expensive UPL club.
According to the site, the total cost of the Dynamo roster is now 82.7 million euros. Shakhtar’s squad is estimated at 80.1 million euros. In third place is SC Dnipro-1 with a total cost of 30.95 million euros. The total value of the 16 UPL clubs is less than €300m (averaging just over €18m per club).
Steep indicators of Shakhtar and Dnepr-1
Interestingly, if we take Transfermarkt data as of September 1 last year (a week from the start of the next championship of the Ukrainian Premier League) as a basis, then only three clubs turned out to be in the red in terms of the total cost of the squad – Dynamo, Kryvbas and Kolos.
It is impossible not to note the work of the coaching and selection staff of Shakhtar, Dnepr-1 and Metalist. The miners, even taking into account the sale of Mudrik, managed to increase the total cost of the team by 9.2%. Metalist increased this figure by 40%. The composition of the Dnieper-1 almost doubled in price: from 19.2 million to 31 million.
There are nine Ukrainians in the TOP-10 of the most expensive UPL players
Sales of the main stars of Ukrainian football have also affected the situation in the list of the most expensive players in the Ukrainian Premier League. Now there is not a single player in the League whose value would exceed 15 million euros.
It is in this amount that the top 20-year-old defender of Dynamo Ilya Zabarny is estimated. The second and third places are shared by Shakhtar players: 26-year-old Zabarny’s colleague Nikolay Matvienko and 21-year-old goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin.
In the top 10 ranking of the most expensive players in the League, representatives of three clubs. Dynamo in the top ten delegated four players, Shakhtar – five, Dnipro – one: their most important asset at the moment is Artem Dovbik.
We also note that only one legionnaire entered the TOP-10 – Shakhtar forward Lassina Traore.
