Athletistic/ Figure Skating. The head of the St. Petersburg Figure Skating Federation, Anton Sikharulidze, has explained why he plans to follow the sports battles at the European Championship in Espoo.
Russian figure skaters miss the 2023 European Championship due to sanctions imposed last spring.
“Absolutely! It’s not only interesting, but also instructive. You need to be aware of what the competitors are doing, how they are skating,” pragmatically noted the president of the St. Petersburg Figure Skating Federation.
“After all, sooner or later the sanctions will be lifted. I just hope that in the near future reason will prevail. And in general, world figure skating needs us even more than we need them,” said Sikharulidze, quoted by Sport Express.
