Rodnina on the IOC’s statement on admitting Russians to starts: “It’s a provocation, and we’re not going to go there”

Three-time Olympic champion and State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina expressed the opinion during a conversation with a correspondent that the upcoming statement by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is a provocation.

On Wednesday, the IOC said it would consider admitting neutral Russian and Belarusian athletes who do not actively support the CBO to international competitions. Previously, in most sports, against the background of the situation in Ukraine, Russians were deprived of the opportunity to participate in international tournaments.
