Our judokas start at the Portuguese Grand Prix
Judo team of Ukraine announced the line-up for its first Grand Prix Tournament in the new year.
Note that the team leader was not included in the application Daria Beloded. Her place in the weight category up to 57 kg was taken by a 20-year-old Anastasia Chizhevskaya. For her, the tournament in Almada will be her debut at the Grand Prix level.
The composition of Ukraine for the Portuguese Grand Prix tournament:
Women: Anastasia Chizhevskaya (up to 57 kg), Anastasia Antipina (up to 63 kg), Natalya Chistyakova (up to 70 kg), Elizaveta Litvinenko, Yulia Kurchenko (both – up to 78 kg), Ruslana Bulavina, Kristina Goman (both – over 78 kg))
Men: Artem Lesyuk, Dilshot Khalmatov (both – up to 60 kg), Bogdan Yadov, Karo Marandyan (both – up to 66 kg), Alexander Koshlyak, Vladislav Kazimirov (both – up to 73 kg), Gevorg Manukyan (up to 81 kg), Anton Savitsky ( up to 100 kg), Yakov Hammo (over 100 kg).
With the exception of Beloded, all the strongest Ukrainian judokas will compete in Portugal. Among them are Yadov, Khammo, Khalmatov and 18-year-old Litvinenko, who was nominated for the “Rising Star” by the International Judo Federation.
The Portuguese Grand Prix will be held January 27-29. The FGU notes that after the start of the season in Almada, part of the team will go to Paris for the Grand Slam series tournament in early February.
