ARAF’s membership of World Athletics was suspended in 2015 amid a large-scale doping scandal, with Russian athletes only allowed to compete after being granted neutral status. In November 2022, World Athletics did not restore ARAF membership to its list, but recommended that the task force do so in March 2023. Now Russians are not allowed to participate in international tournaments in because of the situation in Ukraine.
– You were optimistic about the restoration of the VFLA in World Athletics and made precise predictions that it could take place at the end of 2022. The decision has been postponed until March. Are the forecasts still optimistic?
