Yastremska’s younger sister could make her WTA debut in singles

16-year-old Ivanna is preparing for the tournament in Hua Hin

Ukrainian tennis player Ivanna Yastremskayawho is the younger sister of Dayana Yastremskaya, is preparing for her professional debut.

16-year-old athlete can debut in singles at the tournament WTA 250, which will be held in Hua Hin (Taiwan). Ivanna received a wild card to the qualifying tournament from the organizers of the tournament.

Previously, the Ukrainian has played three matches in WTA tournaments in doubles. Together with her sister Dayana, Ivanna played in competitions in Lyon (WTA 250), Indian Wells (WTA 1000) and Rouen (WTA 125). In all duels, the sisters were defeated.

In the ITF junior tour in singles, Ivanna Yastremska performed only in 2021, playing four home tournaments (Rivne, Irpen, Lviv and Chornomorsk).

Competitions in Hua Hin will start next week. Qualifying matches will start on Saturday.
