Real Madrid managed to snatch the victory in extra time. In the first extra-half, Karim Benzema closed the cross from Marco Asensio. And in stoppage time for overtime, Vinicius set the final score.
Note that Atlético played out the match with ten men. Stefan Savic received a second yellow card in overtime.
Real Madrid will face Osasuna in the semi-finals. The first matches of the 1/2 final stage will be held on February 8 and 9, the second legs are scheduled for March 1 and 2.
