Bogachuk engaged Gallimore in a spectacular battle

The Ukrainian boxer stopped the Jamaican opponent in the sixth round.

On the night of January 27-28 in Montebello, USA, in the main event of the boxing night, the Ukrainian representative of the first middleweight Sergey Bogachuk (22-1, 22 KOs) met in the ring with Jamaican Nathaniel Gallimore (22 – 6-1, 17 KOs).

From the beginning of the battle, the rivals conducted a spectacular exchange, and the underdog tried to impose a fight on the favorite Ukrainian. However, from the second round, Bogachuk gradually increased his advantage, pushed the opponent, forcing him to act more on counterattacks.

Opponents were not afraid to start a real fight at close range, but the Ukrainian managed to inflict more accurate blows. The Jamaican boxer broke his opponent’s nose, but he continued to be more active.

The denouement of the duel came in the sixth three-minute period, when Bogachuk completely outplayed Gallimor. The Jamaican barely responded to the blows, and at the end of the round, the Ukrainian boxer squeezed the opponent under the ropes and began to lose, after which the referee was forced to stop the fight.

So, Bogachuk won by technical knockout and defended his WBC Continental Americas belt.

Note that in his last match Gallimor also lost to a native of Ukraine, Fedor Cherkashin, representing Poland.
