The head of the organization, Morinari Watanabe, stressed that big politics should not be reflected in the Olympic movement.
“There are a lot of problems, but we would like to respect the decision of the IOC and think about ways to restore the athletes of both countries. Sport is independent of politics, our duty is to protect the right of athletes to be treated without discrimination ,” Watanabe said in an interview with NHK.
