The Italian pair of figure skaters Charlene Gignard / Marco Fabbri became the winner of the European Ice Dance Championship.
The tournament was held in Finnish Espoo. Guignard and Fabbri, who have already won bronze medals twice at the European Championships, were the best in the short and free programs and obtained a total of 210.44 points. Silver was won by Britons Laila Fir and Lewis Gibson – 207.89 points. Finnish representatives Yuliya Turkkila and Matthias Versluis finished third at 198.21.
Russian figure skaters have been suspended from participating in international competitions by decision of the International Skating Union (ISU) due to the situation in Ukraine.
