Figure skaters Mishina and Gallyamov: “We are very satisfied with the performance of the short program at the St. Petersburg Championships. We managed to close the same gestalt”

Russian figure skater Alexander Gallyamov acting in concert with Anastasia Michina said that at the championship in St. Petersburg they had to redesign half of the short program, and they are satisfied with the location.

After the short program, Mishina / Gallyamov take first place (87.50 points). Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky are in second place (75.06 points), Anna Moskaleva and Maxim Lozhkin are third (69.10).

I can say that a weight has been lifted from our shoulders. We wanted to do a lutz, we got it. In the warm-up, he looked unimportant, but at the box office we managed to pull ourselves together. We have already played lutz in 2019 in the free skate, but this time we went for a bold experiment. We had to redesign half of the program and rearrange the elements. The third element twist was unusual. Today we are very satisfied with the rental. We managed to close the same gestalt, – the correspondent reports the words of Gallyamov.

“Our victory is that between competitions we only had a week and we managed to prepare for the tournament and change the schedule,” said Anastasia Mishina.

The pair have won two stages of the Russian Grand Prix series and qualified for the final, which has been moved from Sochi to St Petersburg and will be held from March 3-5.

– As soon as I told my mother, father and grandmother that the Grand Prix Final would be held in St. Petersburg, they were very happy. The family will be able to come and support us,” Gallyamov said.

“Of course we were happy. First of all, we don’t have to go anywhere. Secondly, we like to play in our hometown of St. Petersburg, the atmosphere at home helps and supports, – added Mishina.
