Marusyak took 26th place at the World Cup stage and scored the first points in the world ranking offset
Ukrainian Evgeny Marusyak updated Ukrainian record on ski jump distance.
At the World Cup stage in Bad Mitterndorf, Austria, 22-year-old Marusyak jumped more than 200 meters three times. In his two best attempts, he showed 210 meters. This is a new Ukrainian record.
It is also the best result of Ukraine at the World Cup in 12 years.
According to the results of two rounds, Marusyak finished 26th and scored the first points in the world rankings. And the winner of the stage was Halvor Granerud from Norway.
Recall that at the 2022 Olympics Marusyak took 47th place on a normal springboard.
