It is possible that the Ministry of Sports will be merged with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy
In the near future they may dismiss the Minister of Youth and Sports Vadim Gutsaitwho recently headed the National Olympic Committee.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, there are two contenders for the post of minister. Gutzeit would like to make his deputy minister Matvey Poor. And the candidate from the Office of the President is the winner of the 2000 Olympics in the triple jump, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council and at the same time an adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Elena Govorova.
However, there is a high probability that in the course of the government reform the Ministry of Sports will be completely liquidated and merged with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
Recall that Gutzeit has been heading the post of sports minister since 2020. In November 2022, he was elected to the post of President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
There was also information that the NOC of Ukraine would not interfere with the work of Gutzeit at the same time as the Minister of Youth and Sports and the head of the Olympic Committee.
