The legendary Ukrainian boxer responded to the desire to restore the rights of athletes from the aggressor country.
Former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko appealed to the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach.
The famous Ukrainian boxer reacted strongly to the possible return of Russian and Belarusian athletes to competitions.
“Dear Thomas Bach. You are the President of the IOC. You represent the world values of tolerance and peace. You propose to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the Paris Games.
I tell you that today the Russians are Olympic champions in crimes against civilians. They have gold medals for child abduction and rape of women. You cannot put your Olympic emblem on these crimes, because you will be complicit in this horrible war,” said Klitschko.
Now the russians have gold medals for war crimes, deportation of children and rape of women. You can’t put your @Olympics symbol of these crimes dear Thomas Bach. @iocmedia #RoadToParis2024 #StopTheWar pic.twitter.com/v9ohDb13xe

Recall that earlier the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Vadim Gutzeit did not exclude that Ukrainian athletes may boycott the Olympics if Russians and Belarusians are allowed to compete.
