Midfielder transfer cost Gunners £12m
Midfielder Chelsea Jorginho officially moved to Arsenal. The Gunners did not disclose the terms of the deal with the 31-year-old player.
According to information Sky Sports, the transfer of Jorginho cost Arsenal 12 million pounds. The midfielder has signed with the Gunners a contract for 1.5 years with the option of extending for another season.
In 2018, Chelsea paid Napoli €57m for Jorginho. Together with the Blues, the midfielder won the 2020/21 Champions League and the 2018/19 Europa League.
Jorginho has made 25 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions this season, scoring three goals. In total, the Italian national team player has more than 200 matches for the London club.
Arsenal, which includes Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, leads the English Premier League. Chelsea with Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk is in 10th position in the standings.
