Gymnasts of the Russian Olympic team provide financial support to the military personnel of the Russian Federation
Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics, head of the Independent Artistic Gymnastics Federation in Ukraine Oleg Vernyaev showed a video in which the military personnel of the Russian Federation thank the athletes from Russia for their help in acquiring a quadcopter.
Vernyaev also turned to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Ukrainian athlete called on the IOC to refuse the Russians and Belarusians to return to the international arena, including the 2024 Olympics.
“The Russian gymnastics team supports the country’s army, which is destroying my hometown, my native Donbass, my Ukraine! In the video, the military of the aggressor country is thanking Russian athletes Nikita Nagorny, David, Denis and Artur for the purchased quadrocopter and for helping the army. Gymnasts from Russia stand for the “Russian world”, for the genocide of the Ukrainian people, for terror on the territory of our state.”
“And do the International Olympic Committee really want these people to be admitted to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris? Is the Olympic community ready to welcome the accomplices of terror? The Russian Federation poses a threat to the whole world, and the international community, after the tragic events in Mariupol, Bucha, Dnipro and other cities of our country, must understand this!”
