The Ukrainian athlete was perplexed by the IOC’s intention to allow representatives of the aggressor country to compete.
Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics Oleg Vernyaev showed a video in which representatives of the Russian occupation army thanked athletes from their country for their help in buying equipment.
Thus, the Ukrainian athlete responded to the desire of the International Olympic Committee to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete, in particular, at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

“The Russian gymnastics team supports the country’s army, which destroys my country, my native Donbass, my Ukraine! In the video, the military of the aggressor country thanks Russian athletes Nikita Nagorny, David , Denis and Artur for the captured quadcopter and the help of the army. The gymnasts from Russia stand for the “Russian world”, for the genocide of the Ukrainian people, for the terror on the territory of our state.
And the International Olympic Committee really wants to allow these people to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris? Is the Olympic community ready to accept accomplices of terrorism? The Russian Federation poses a threat to the whole world, and the international community, after the tragic events in Mariupol, Bucha, Dnipro and other cities of our country, must understand this!” Vernyaev wrote on Instagram .
