Danilenko – silver, Tkachuk – bronze
Ukrainian athletes Victoria Tkachuk and Daniel Danilenko steel winners of the tournament in Ostrava (Czech).
In the 400m, Tkachuk clocked 52.39 and won bronze. She broke a personal best at that indoor distance.
Danilenko finished second in the 400m with a score of 46.46. This is the second best result in the history of Ukraine at this indoor distance and a personal record for the athlete. The record belongs to Vitaly Butrym – 46.45.
Also Ukrainians Sergey Nikiforov and Stanislav Kovalenko performed in Ostrava. Nikiforov finished 4th in the long jump and Kovalenko finished 8th in the 60m.
Recall that Yaroslav Maguchy won the high jump at the Karsten Warholm International tournament in Norway.
