Athletistic/ Others. On Saturday, February 4, it became known that Estonia is not planning to boycott the 2024 Olympics. This was stated by the current head of the country’s Olympic Committee, Urmas Syyrumaa.

According to him, such an initiative is not constructive in its essence. Earlier, Polish officials said Poland may refuse to travel to Paris due to the possible participation of Russian athletes in the 2024 Games.

The Poles’ statement in February was backed by sports ministers from all the Baltic countries, including Estonia.

“Boycotts never led to anything,” Sõrumaa said in an interview with err.ee.

Recall that the President of the IOC, Thomas Bach, specified in January that the Russians could go to Paris, but only under a neutral flag.
