Hearn on Joshua’s next fight: If AJ doesn’t win we’ll be in big trouble

On April 1, Anthony is due to enter the ring against Jermain Franklin.

Promoter Eddie Hearn commented on the upcoming fight of the ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. The Briton is due to fight the American in London on April 1 Jermain Franklin.

“Coming back is difficult. Because if AJ doesn’t win this fight, we’re in big trouble.”

“This guy is still one of the top three heavyweights in the world to reclaim the world heavyweight title. On April 1st, you will probably see the return of Anthony Joshua in a fight against Jermain Franklin. To be honest, I believe you’re going to see a statement from a very dangerous guy, very motivated to become a three-time heavyweight champion.”

Joshua in August last year lost a split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. After the defeat from the Ukrainian, Anthony negotiated a fight with Fury, but the parties failed to agree.

In his most recent fight, Franklin lost a decision to former “interim” WBC heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte.
