The functionaries of the whole world seem to have understood that it is not worth dealing with the aggressor even if Ukraine wins the war.

International functionaries finally lost faith in the Russians, and began to withdraw international sports tournaments from them early.

The International Swimming Federation therefore announced that Kazan has been denied the right to host the 2025 FINA World Championships. It seems that there is still a lot of time before the contest begins, and by then Ukraine will have defeated the aggressor in the war. However, the functionaries apparently decided not to deal with the Russians and gave the competition to peaceful Singapore.

It will be remembered that in May 2022, Kazan was deprived of the right to host the 2022 World Cup in swimming in a 25-meter pool. After that, UEFA withdrew the right to host the UEFA Super Cup from the capital of Tatarstan.

FINA expects that in 2025 the 2025 World Aquatics Championships will host more than 2,500 athletes representing 209 national member federations.

The competition will award awards in six sports: swimming, water polo, diving, competitive swimming, open water swimming and high diving.
