WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk commented on the victory Polissya in the opening match Winter Cup-2023 over Veres.
Also, the Ukrainian boxer told the reasons for his absence in the application for the match. Usyk is having problems with his left leg, so his participation in the next matches is in question.

In the first match of the Winter Cup-2023 game day, Polesie defeated Veres in a penalty shootout. In the second pair, Vorskla managed to defeat Levadia (3:2).
The next matches of the event will be held on February 14 and 15. Levadia will play Polesie (beginning at 18:30 Kyiv time) next Tuesday, and Vorskla will face Veres the next day (18:30).
Winter Cup is held for the second year in a row. Last winter, Polesie became the triumphant of the tournament, having won three victories in three matches. Usyk played for the Zhytomyr club at the last Cup, playing in a duel with Veres.
