The Ukrainian is close to his return to the ring.
Former world light heavyweight champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk (17-1, 14 KOs) continues his career after a long hiatus.
The Ukrainian boxer will fight Mexican Josué Obando (20-34-2, 15 KOs). On the eve of the match, the athletes went through the weigh-in ceremony.
Carnation showed 83.9 kg on the scales, and Obando – 86.9 kg. So, we can say that the fight will take place not at lightweight (up to 79.3 kg), but at intermediate.
The fight will take place on February 11 in the city of Pomona (USA), as part of the TM Boxing and MarvNation Promotions show. Remember that in the beginning the Argentinean was the rival of the Ukrainian.
Recall that in June 2020 Gvozdyk announced his retirement. The Ukrainian had his last fight in October 2019, when he lost early on the schedule to Artur Beterbiev in a unification bout.
