Ukrainian wants to raise the flag in the international arena.
Former world light heavyweight champion Alexander Gvozdik says he wants to fight Russian boxers who own the belt.
According to the famous athlete, he received additional motivation to return to professional sports when a full-scale war began between Ukraine and Russia.
“The situation in Ukraine has become an additional motivation for my return. Maybe I can raise the flag of Ukraine on the international stage. So this will add motivation to my people.”

“It’s also a good motivation for me to go to the title fights and take the belts from Bivol and Beterbiev, because they’re both Russian. How will my fight with Bivol be? I think he’s busy with other problems, but I’ll make it on the title to fix this match,” Gvozdyk said in an interview on the Against The Ropes Podcast YouTube channel.
It will be remembered that on the night of February 11-12, Gvozdyk will fight the Mexican Jose Obando.
