Artem Tishchenko became the first reserve biathlete
Two Ukrainian biathletes qualified for the mass start World Cup 2023 in German Oberhof.
The main list of the race included Dmitry Pidruchny And Anton Dudchenko. Dmitry previously finished 5th in the sprint and 8th in the pursuit, missing out on the individual race. Anton, who finished 21st in the sprint and 20th in the pursuit race, did not score points in the individual race (42nd), but remained in the passing position for the mass start.
One point was not enough for Artem Tishchenko to get into the final personal race of the 2023 World Cup. The Ukrainian, who took 12th place in the individual race, became the first in the reserve list of the mass start.
At the 2023 World Championships in Oberhof, men will also take part in two relay races – the classic men’s and the mixed singles. The mass start will take place on Sunday 19 February.
