Silver medalist at the World Ski Championships Artem Maltsev admitted he decided to go see the coach Yuri Borodavko due to strong competition within the group.
Maltsev was left without a coach in the spring following the departure of German specialist Markus Kramer from Russia.
– I approached Elena Valerievna Vyalba, she said – choose for yourself which group to go to. She said, I can go to any coach, only I have such privilege of choice. I thought I should go to Yuri Viktorovich (Borodavko), because the guys are strong, there is someone to contact,” Maltsev told .
Besides Maltsev, Alexander Bolshunov, Nikita Denisov, Maria Istomina, Daria Nepryaeva, Natalia Nepryaeva, Denis Spitsov, Yulia Stupak, Alexander Terentiev, Alexei Chervotkin and Ivan Yakimushkin are also involved in the Borodavko group.
