“The decision on the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympics has not yet been taken” – IOC statement

The press service of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) reported that the decision on the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics has not yet been made.

At the end of January, the IOC announced that it would consider the possibility of admitting to international competitions Russian and Belarusian athletes in a neutral status, who did not actively support the CBO. Head of the IOC thomas bach admitted that the Russians could participate in the Summer Olympics in Paris in a neutral status. Last week, the IOC noted that the organization still does not have criteria by which the individual admission of Russians to competitions can be carried out.
