Elina raises funds for the restoration of a residential complex in Irpin
Former first racket of Ukraine and UNITED24 platform ambassador Elina Svitolina joined the direction “Restoration of Ukraine”.
Elina opened fundraising for the restoration of a residential complex in Irpen, which is located at 53 Kievskaya Street. To close the fundraiser, 127,000 euros remain to be collected.
Prior to the full-scale invasion, the house was mostly inhabited by young families with children. Now about 100 families cannot return to their damaged apartments. In addition, 37 apartments in the complex burned to the ground.
Earlier, Svitolina said that after winning the war with Russia, she wants to help build a tennis center in Ukraine. Also, the Ukrainian launched a special program “Athlete’s Mental Health” for children aged 11-16. The course itself will last three months and will be held online.
As part of their work at UNITED24, Svitolina and film director Michel Azanavichus took under their patronage the construction of two houses in Irpin.
Early on the morning of February 24, Russia launched rocket and air strikes on most Ukrainian cities and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war against Russia has been going on for 357 days.
