Blancos are second in La Liga

The fate of the meeting was decided in the first half, when Benzema scored a brace, and Asensio took advantage of Carvajal’s assist. In the end of the game, Modric, who came on as a substitute, scored.
The whole game in Real Madrid was played by Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrei Lunin. For him, this meeting was the fourth in a row in the starting lineup of the Blancos, including two victorious meetings at the 2023 World Championships.
