After the third stage, our team was the first
National biathlon team of Ukraine won bronze V mixed relay on European Junior Championship in the Latvian Madona. For Ukraine, this is the first medal in the mixed relay at the Junior European Championship in history.
Stepan Kinash, Vitaliy Mandzyn, Alexandra Merkushina and Daria Chalyk competed for Ukraine. It should be noted that Merkushina passed the baton to Chalyk first with an advantage of 22 seconds, but she could not keep the lead and finished only third.
The Italian team became European champions, Germany won silver.
Earlier, Alexandra Merkushina won a gold medal in the sprint at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2023.
