Ukrainian will miss the winter European championship in Istanbul
Ukrainian athlete Marina Bekh-Romanchuk completed performances at the competitions of the winter season-2023 due to a foot injury.
“Sport is not only about victories and achievements, but also about the difficult behind-the-scenes journey that athletes go through with their coaches. Last night in the first attempt I got a foot injury and immediately finished the competition.
“The best decision was not to continue the competition and the winter season, but to take time to recover and concentrate on preparing for the summer. Some things are beyond our control, and sometimes you have to listen to your body and set a different, higher goal. See you in the summer, ”Marina wrote on her Instagram page.
Recall that yesterday Beh-Romanchuk won bronze in the triple jump at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold tournament in Leuven (France). Her result is 14.01 m.
The main start of the winter athletics season is the 2023 European Indoor Championships in Istanbul, which will be held March 2-5.
