Petrakov: Dismantled the national team of Scotland on the bones

Ukraine – in the final of the playoffs for reaching the World Cup

Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Alexander Petrakov told how his team managed to defeat Scotland (3:1) in the play-off semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup qualification.

Yesterday Ukraine beat the Scots in Glasgow thanks to goals from Andriy Yarmolenko, Roman Yaremchuk and Artem Dovbik.

The day before the game, I was calm, but when I arrived at the stadium in Glasgow, I started to beat inside me. Then the game started, and the guys did everything. I want to thank them. They were ready“, Petrakov explained.

“We warned the players that Scotland is a strong team. We took control of the ball and brought it down. The Scots play well on the second floor, while our players are more technical. We dismantled the opponent bit by bit.”
