A similar decision was previously made on UAF President Andrei Pavelko
Pechersky court of the city of Kyiv dismissed the Secretary General of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) Yuri Zapisotsky from his position until March 17, 2023.
Earlier, the judge made a similar decision against UAF President Andrei Pavelko. The head of the Association filed an appeal on the same day. If it is not accepted, the court decision comes into force on February 22.
Earlier, the prosecutor’s office filed a petition with the court to remove Pavelko and the general secretary of the organization, Yuri Zapisotsky, from office for two months. Recently, large-scale searches by SBU officers took place in the House of Football.
Pavelko, together with Zapisotsky, is a defendant in a criminal case and received suspicions in a corruption case. The Moscow Court imposed a similar measure of restraint on Zapisotsky.
The UAF considers the entire process to be commissioned work from the former leaders of the association. At the same time, on October 18, a search was carried out in the house of the president of the organization. Pavelko denied conducting searches in his own house, but stressed that behind-the-scenes games “with a Russian trace” were being waged, the purpose of which was to remove the current leadership of the Association.
In 2018, the Schemes program conducted an investigation, as a result of which journalists suspected the UAF and its president Andriy Pavelko of corruption through a factory for the production of artificial fields.
