The Luhansk team took the lead in the middle of the first half thanks to an own goal from Riga midfielder Hrvoe Babec. The Latvian team responded with four goals in the second half of the match. At the end of the meeting, Nazariy Rusin scored Zorya’s second goal in the match.
This was Zorya’s tenth sparring in Turkey. Earlier, van Leeuwen’s wards lost to Alashkert (0:2), Bulgarian club Arda (1:2), Lokomotiv from Plovdiv (0:1), Uzbek Neftchi (0:1) and conceded four goals from Norschelland (1:4).
Zorya also beat Pandev Academy from North Macedonia (2:0), Bulgarian Septemvri (3:2) and Koper (1:0). Another duel with the Danish Horsens ended in a draw (0:0).
Zorya takes the fourth place in the standings of the championship of Ukraine. In the next round of the Ukrainian championship after the resumption of the season, Zorya will play against Vorskla on March 5.
