Ukrainian scored a goal and provided an assist in the match with Almeria
Girona head coach Michel commented on the performance of the Ukrainian winger Viktor Tsygankov in a match with Almeria (6:2).
“Tsygankov is something else. He’s lucky to be here. Oriol Romeu, Yangel Herrera… and Victor are also different players, but he’s far from his best as he hasn’t played in two months and comes from a country with a different language and customs.”
Tsygankov in a duel with Almeria for the first time came out in the starting lineup of the White-Reds. The Ukrainian scored his debut goal by completing Riquelme’s pass from close range. And later, an assist was chalked up – Victor dropped the ball with his heel to a partner under the blow of Javi Hernandez.
Girona is 11th in La Liga with 27 points. In the next match, Tsygankov’s team will play away with Athletic on February 26.
