Sergei Lapin recalled the duties of the Ukrainian to defend the belt.
Sergey Lapin, manager and member of the coaching staff of WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, shared his opinion on the organization of the fight between his ward and Tyson Fury.
According to the functionary, the Ukrainian will hold a mandatory defense of the belt if he does not have a fight with Fury.
“If Team Fury doesn’t take advantage of this opportunity in the near future, Usyk will likely defend his title against Daniel Dubois.
Dubois is a man who has the courage to step into the ring and not be afraid. But we hope that soon the boxing teams will make a deal, and the historic event will take place.”

“We want the fight with Fury to take place. We want to know who is the real heavyweight champion. We believe that it is Usyk, and maybe, to some extent, Tyson Fury also knows this,” said Lapin in an interview with Safe betting sites.
The reason why the conflict between the Ukrainians and the British could break was previously known.
