Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Olympic champion in women’s individual skating Yulia Lipnitskaya responded to Evgeni Plushenko’s claims about the work of the judiciary at Russian competitions.
The double Olympic champion after YPR-2023 in Perm made it clear that the skaters in his group could leave Russia if biased refereeing against them further affects the final results.
Lipnitskaya noted the excellent work that Plushenko is doing to develop figure skating in Russia, and also stressed the need for changes in the work of the judging system.
“Every day I see the gigantic work of the Plushenko Angels, which gives absolutely real results. Without fair arbitration, all this work of the coaches, of the children, of their parents, is meaningless. Changes are necessary. I support Evgeny Viktorovich completely and completely,” Lipnitskaya wrote on the social network.
