Head of administration of the city of Tyumen Ruslan Kuharuk told on “” how the festival of winter disciplines “Battle on the Tour” was born and developed.
The festival will include the third stage of the Russian Cup in freestyle (big air discipline) and snowboarding (big air discipline), as well as cross-country skiing and snowboarding competitions for men and women. The competitions will take place from February 18 to 25 and will be broadcast on and the holding’s thematic channels.
— The unique “Battle on the Tour” event brings together not only sports amateurs and professionals, but also enthusiasts. The project started as a city project. The head of the Extreme Sports Union Ivan Shmonin, the ideological inspiration behind the project, ensured that a unique facility was created in the city center on the bank of the Tura River, which made it possible to organize such international competitions. A unique sensation is felt by both athletes and spectators.
Today we talk about the need to support projects related to the creative industries. It combines sports and events, creating a product that appeals to a large number of people.
We are proud that this project is established on our territory for the seventh consecutive year. We are proud that it was the guys from Tyumen who made the project that is now known throughout the country, a street classic that allows you to unite young sportsmen. And in turn, they are ready to create an interesting, sporty, creative, but at the same time profitable product.
I wish everyone who came to the competition today and who will participate in the great festival “Battle on the Tour” good luck and success. This year is also special because master classes and open courses will be organized there during the week, and an educational program will be put in place. And the end of the festival will be marked by another competition at Russian level, in snowboarding.
Today, for the first time, we have brought together sports, entertainment and educational products within the framework of the forum. I wish all competitors and spectators a good feeling.
— We hope the project will continue to grow!
– Will grow for sure! Kuharuk said on .
