Double Olympic gold medalist Kruzer breaks shot put world record

Two-time U.S. Olympic Shot Put Champion Ryan Cruiser broke the world record by one centimeter, reports World Athletics .

During the indoor competition of the Simplot Games, which takes place in Pocatello, Idaho, USA, Cruiser sent a projectile of 23.38 meters, which is a new world record. The American improved his own result (in June 2021 he pushed the core 23.37 meters).

The new record must be ratified by World Athletics.

Cruiser is 30 years old, he won gold at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and also became the 2022 world champion in Eugene.
