Femke Bol, a runner from the Netherlands, set a world record in the 400 meters indoors during the athletics competitions in Apeldoorn (Netherlands), reports the press service of World Athletics.
Bol covered the distance in 49.26 seconds and beat Yarmila Kratokhvilova’s result. A Czech woman in 1982 showed a time of 49.59 seconds.
Aged 22, she became Dutch indoor champion for the fourth time in the 400m. The athlete is a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics in the 400m hurdles.
